I have not received the most recent numbers, however the temps this year have been a bit cooler than in past years and we have had a bit of rain lately that typically lowers the temps as well.
Although I cannot say with any real certainty, I do expect us to be wetsuit legal. That decision will be made by the USAT official within 2 hours of the event.

| As a first time triathlon entrant in the sprint distance, what do the experts suggest about a wetsuit for Sunday morning? I trained last week in Lake Arcadia in OKC in the rain and was cool but perfectly comfortable without a wetsuit. For a beginner does someone recommend a wetsuit for the first time or just regular swimming shorts? Help! |

| Sprints are a wash- time gained with the suit is lost taking it off. However, if temps are truly 70 degrees my breath gets taken away a bit. Lots of first timers find themselves on their backs if the cold water causes breathlessness. For me that would be the only reason to wear it, because taking it off gets alot smoother if you have done it a couple of dozen times previously. now, next year when you do the 2.4 miles, bring the suit! |

A few updated water temperature readings:
15th 74.1 16th 73.4 17th 73.2
So, my best guess is we are talking about yet another wetsuit legal Redman event this year.
