The sprint on Sunday will be my wife's first triathlon, and needless to say she's a little nervous. We were out at Lake Hefner doing a brick yesterday and noticed the bike mount/dismount line is at the base of an incline meaning as soon as you mount you have to clip in while climbing and when returning you have to slow and clip out while descending. While this did not appear to be a big deal to me and likely not to the experienced individual(s) that designed the course, it posed a big challenge to someone who is new to the sport and does not have much confidence in bike handling. This line is quite faded and I'm sure it is from a previous year. Can anyone tell me whether this will be the actual dismount line for this year's race? Thanks, Q |

Shadowfax,
The line you saw recently was actually the line left from the IronKids Tri and it in fact was an awful place to mount and start pedaling, for anyone!
The Redman M/DM Line will be significantly closer to transition. Closer even than it has been for us in the past.
See you all in September.
