OK, I'm a little fuzzy on the racking the bikes the day before. Since the packet pick up is near (?) the transition area; can we just do it then. I can't understand why you would take the bike to the hotel then have it shuttled back to the same area. Please advise.

You don't have to take your bike to the hotel. Yes, transition is near the place you will pick up your packet, and yes, bikes get racked on Friday for Saturday's race, and on Saturday for Sunday's race. "Rack-it when you get your packet".

You're right, no need to lug a bike into the hotel, *if* you're driving to the race (as the majority are).

But, if you're flying to OKC and not renting a car, or if you're driving to OKC with family in one car, it may be an attractive option.
